- What streets bound the community, and on what sides?
- How convenient is the location?
- How would you describe it? High-rises? Older-style buildings? Friendly? Families? Professionals?
- What amenities does it have: A central market, recreational facilities, parking, etc.
- How would you describe living there (if you do)? Are there many foreigners living there?
- What is the ownership: centrally-managed, or individually-owned units? Can you say anything about the rent?
- Add any other information you think might be worthwhile.

Vanke East Coast
Hi, I have lived in Vanke East Coast for ten weeks now, so I think I can help with some discription of the place (looking through a forerigner's eyes that is!).
Location is beatiful, surrounded by mountains and lots of trees and plants. Not very convienient to get to and fro the city centre. Very secluded and mostly very quiet. You really need to have your own car, if you don't want to feel trapped there.
New buildings and it looks good on the surface. But lots of faults when you scrape the surface. Lots of things broken in our appartment when we moved in. Toilet not fasten to the floor, tv was broken, internet plug was broken, it was very dirty and slobby.
There's a small supermarket. Very friendly people. But almost always out of grocerys. Hope they will be better at that in the future, since it's a pretty new supermarket. There's a small restaurant. Food is cheap and Ok.
There's some facilities like tennis, badminton, table tennis, swimmingpool. But everything costs extra money.
It's mostly chinese people living there. We are about four foreigner's at the time. And it's really difficult to live there as a foreigner, since close to no one speaks english. No information comes in english either, and information about the facilities don't come in english either. When you have a problem in your appartment, it's hard to fix it, beacuse of the bad communication.
