The BUZZ:

Good Thai food, a GREAT view of Seaworld Square and the landlocked Ming
Hua, a party-but-not-rowdy crowd, and an amazing band make
The Terrace incredibly popular with visitors and locals alike. There's
something happening every night at The Terrace.

Throughout the day and into the early evening, it's a laid-back, Margueritavilla kind of Thai place. But once the band goes on...WOO-HOO!

Why? Because this is the home of the band Sugar Rush. The Terrace's General Manager and Musical Director (and genius) Leon Durupt took the time to visit the Philippines and hand-pick the band; under his direction, Sugar Rush has become arguably one of the best bands in Shenzhen.

With a gang of friends or with a date, you won't be disappointed. High standard of service, good food, great ambiance -- and did we mention the music?

The PLACE:

  • Where: The Terrace is located on Shekou's popular Seaworld Square (see Nanshan South Area map). Pronounce the words "She Kou Hai Shang Shi Jie" to any taxi driver and you're there. When you reach the plaza, walk toward the obvious landlocked ship (you can't miss it). As you approach the ship, the restaurant will be on your right, above Starbucks.
  • By Metro: Shekou is 12-15 km from the nearest Metro station (Shijie Zhichuang, "Window of the World"); from there, take a bus (look for the underground bus station, or bus stops at Exits A and C) or taxi (around 40rmb; more if rush hour or late-night).
  • By bus: Many buses lead to Shekou; look for the characters for "hai shang shi jie" on the BuzzCard below.
