NYPD (New York Pizza Delivery)

Our pal Thompson Ly (or Lee) was born in the good ol' USA and knows more than a little about pizza. (He's kind of a fanatic.)

The pizza is great. It's also big (up to 16"). They deliver. And ordering is easy: Just send a text with your order and address to Thompson's phone. (But call the first time, so he can get to know you! Better yet, meet him at the store.)

We'll be doing a more complete listing later (with Buzzcard, pictures, Google Satellite Image, and more--maybe even a menu). For now here's what we've got:

Address: Shop D1, Junhuang Ming Ju, Fuqiang Road, Futian South
Shop phone (mostly Chinese) (755) 8204 0503
Thompson (English) : 137 9847 1160
For the taxi:福田区福强路骏皇名居D1商铺

NYPD is not an Italian

NYPD is not an Italian restaurant, and the Pizza they do is not authentic Italian.

And yet...

And yet the pizza IS delicious--New York style, not "Italian" (whatever that is--Neapolitan? Lazio [Roman]? Sicilian?). NYPD also serves pasta dishes, which I'm pretty sure qualify as Italian.

Anyway, whichever of you at Milano's posted this comment, the point is that NYPD's product is good, their prices excellent, and their delivery fast. They are in a completely different category from a pricey, sit-down Italian restaurant.

Rilassati!

Legal Pizza Night

This just in from Thompson:

Legal Pizza Night

Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.

Attorney Frank Caruso, licensed U.S. attorney, will give advice on International and China Law and answer your individual legal questions.

This event will be at the store (details above). We at the Buzz think this is a great idea. Thompson is reaching out to the expat community in a unique way, and we hope you'll turn out to show your support.
