Longgang District lies outside of Shenzhen's Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Like its sister district, Bao'an, Longgang is a mixture of wide open spaces and large industrial "cities."

 

Shenzhen Buzz concentrates on the SEZ. We mention Longgang here only because there are several good day trips to be taken there. Here are a few:

 

Dapeng Fortress and nearby temples
Hakka House Museum
Nan'ao Peninsula
