Hong Kong S.A.R.

There's no question about it: Shenzhen just wouldn't be the same without her neighbor south of the border. Economically and culturally, the relationship between Hong Kong and Shenzhen has been of benefit to both "systems."

For resident expats, too, Hong Kong is essential. For example, we can get excellent Mexican food there. There are lots of bookstores with English language books. And did I mention the Mexican food?

The BUZZ doesn't need to become a guide to Hong Kong; there is already plenty of information on the web in English.

We will, however, detail a few day trips that you may find interesting, including:

Shopping in Shatin: The major mall closest to Shenzhen
A Temple Tour of Hong Kong
I'm going to Disneyland!
Rural Village Trails: Lung Yeuk Tau and Ping Shan

We'd also like to give you some help getting there. Watch for our guides to the following border crossings ("Ports"):

Futian
Huanggang
Luohu
Shatoujiao
Shekou Ferry
Shenzhen Bay
